Welcome to KSMUN

Khalsa Secondary Model United Nations is a conference for Model UN clubs and teams from Lower Mainland-based schools to come together and engage in debate. A one-day Model United Nations conference held at Khalsa Secondary School in Surrey, KSMUN is a wonderful way for MUN beginners to enter the world of Model UN and have their first-ever MUN experience with the guidance of intermediate delegates. The first iteration will be held this fall, on March 1, 2025. The KSMUN program simulates world diplomacy, encouraging our delegates to become more informed, educated, and thoughtful global citizens in an increasingly complicated environment.

KSMUN is held by students representing the energy and enthusiasm of the Khalsa Secondary School MUN Team. After being introduced to the MUN world just two years ago by one of our amazing Humanities teachers Mr. Macdonald, we quickly advanced as individuals wanting to explore more opportunities and stumbled upon the idea of hosting our conference. At the few conferences we have been to we encountered very few Surrey and Delta public school students which made us want to cater our conference for them. This conference is our humble attempt to increase the cultural demographic that participates in Model UN and introduce our passion to as many people as possible. As a Sikh school, we hope to create a captivating presence in Model United Nations.

Delegates at KSMUN will be immersed in a thriving steady-paced environment, working together to create practical and dynamic solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. Our advanced committee line-up will allow students to think critically, collaborate with others, propose constructive resolutions, and develop diplomatic skills that are more important than ever.
