Secretariat Team

Simrat

Simrat Matreja | Secretary General

Since joining Model United Nations in Grade 9, she has been intrigued by the endless energy and confidence of competitive delegates and the extent to which relevant world issues were tackled. From being a novice delegate raising her placard for the first time as Austria in World Health to leading the hosting duties of their own conference, the memories she has made will last a lifetime; her MUN experiences have played an important role in her high school journey thus far. Outside of the committee room, Simrat may be found overusing adding to her ever-growing list of responsibilities, or bravely attempting to tutor her younger brother.

Gurjot

Gurjot Dulai | Director General

Since stepping into the vast world of Model United Nations in Grade 9, Gurjot has been amazed by the fascinating experiences MUN offers. From giving her first speech in the World Health Organization representing the Dominican Republic to helping arrange this conference, she has truly grown. Outside of Model UN, Gurjot enjoys painting, reading crime novels, and teaching tricks to her pet birds. She hopes this first iteration of KSMUN will succeed, leaving delegates with new and cherished memories.

Varneet

Varneet Dhaliwal | USG Finance

Varneet, a grade 11 student currently attending Khalsa Secondary is honoured to uphold the duty as the USG finance for KSMUN 2025. Two years into her model UN journey, Varneet’s knowledge of global problems has expanded and evolved. In her free time when Varneet’s head isn’t submerged in a book, she can be found baking a new recipe or outside soaking in the sun. Varneet thanks Model UN for granting her memorable moments and wishes the same for everyone else. Varneet anticipates the upcoming day with intense debate and is looking forward to meeting all delegates at KSMUN 2025.

Gurnoor Turna

Gurnoor | USG Media

Since embarking on her Model United Nations journey in Grade 9, Gurnoor has developed new interests she thought she’d never enjoy. From being told to prohibit the use of personal pronouns in Interpol as Cuba at her first conference to becoming a part of the secretariat at KSMUN, she has learned the ways of the MUN world. She enjoys strongly stating her facts while delegates bang their tables in agreement just as much as she enjoys partying hard at the delegate social. After the final resolution paper has been passed, Gurnoor can be seen at the karate dojo, showing off her swimming skills at the pool, and reading the next book on her list.

Gurassis Atwal

Gurassis | Director of Logistics

A sophomore at Khalsa Secondary, Guraasis is beyond delighted to serve as Director of Logistics for KSMUN 2025. Since the two speeches she gave at her first conference, Guraasis has gained a passion for researching, debating, and understanding the importance of diplomacy. MUN has not only fostered Guraasis’s interest in human rights but also provided her with unforgettable experiences. From climbing 24 flights of stairs to waking up 15 minutes before the Morning Crisis, Guraasis has cherished many memories from MUN. In her spare time, Guraasis can be found buying Icecaps, scrolling through Pinterest, and hunting for cute pink things. Guraasis wishes all delegates the best of luck and looks forward to enriching debate at KSMUN 2025!
